While LiftMaster offers great support, it’s important to remember that they’re giving general guidance over the phone. The most accurate assessment always comes from being on-site and hands-on.

If my technician said the door is balanced, I do trust his judgment. That said, it never hurts to double-check, especially when something doesn’t feel quite right to you. Your peace of mind matters.

I’d be happy to personally come out, take a look at the door myself, and walk you through what I see so you have a clear understanding of the door’s balance and alignment.

We also have a fully functioning door in our showroom that we operate by hand for this exact reason...to give customers a chance to feel what proper balance looks and feels like.

As a small, local business, we have to be thoughtful about our policies. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept returns on over-the-counter parts intended for DIY use. Once electrical parts leave our counter, we can’t resell them as new, and absorbing the cost isn’t something we’re able to do sustainably. Because we offer full-service support from trained technicians, we also have to maintain clear parameters around our parts sales to ensure consistency and fairness for all customers.
