FAQ

Please see questions that we get asked most often below. If you don’t see the answer to your question(s) here, feel free to reach out.

Yes. We sell and replace springs. All springs have a life cycle and will eventually break. Do not attempt to operate your door with a broken spring. Call us and we will gladly provide you with a quote to replace the springs. Be prepared that we will ask you a few questions to help us accurately quote.

We provide free job-site estimates for all new door installations.

  1. Call our office to schedule your free estimate.
  2. We will find a date that works for you and provide 2-hour window for our arrival.
  3. We always prefer that you are home when we do the estimate. We will need to get inside the garage to take accurate measurements.
  4. Our estimator can provide you with color swatches, samples, literature and a written proposal. If you are unsure of what you are looking for, or are going a custom route (which requires special quoting) the estimator will bring your information back to the office and we will follow-up with you.
  5. Whether you know what door design you’d like or if you are unsure we LOVE when our customers visit our showroom. We can show you first hand what makes our door so great. We can help you navigate through your design options to find just the right door for your home. (You can also visit the showroom prior to scheduling your estimate if you’d like to get to know us and our product first.)
  6. If you choose to have us install your door we will schedule your installation. Many doors are in stock, and available for installation within a week. We provide approximate lead time for all special order doors and do require a deposit to order.
  7. Our goal is to provide you with not only a quality product and expert installation, but also a great experience. We will never try to sell your something you don’t need or tell you need a new door when you don’t. We will make recommendations, inform you about garage doors and your options, allowing you to make the best choice for your situation.

We love when our potential customers visit us in our full size showroom. This allows us the opportunity to educate the consumer. And educated consumer is a confident buyer and we want all of our customers to feel good about what we are offering and the associated price. Buying a garage door can be more involved than planned for and when you visit our showroom we can walk you through your options so that you get exactly what you want. We will help you make the following selections; door model, panel design, color, window options, decorative hardware options, and finally your opener (if necessary).

Most likely this is one of two issues: gear in the motor housing or springs on the door. The springs are part of the door’s counterbalance system, not part of the opener. Your springs must be working and doing their job for the opener to guide the door up. We service openers and doors; call our office and we will help you address your issue and schedule a service call in necessary.

No. We have priced our doors and our installation labor fairly. We sell high quality products and we offer expert installation and have fairly priced our goods and services accordingly, therefore we don’t price match. We know that the average consumer is not going to know the difference between one door to the next; we encourage you to come into our showroom so that we can inform you about our product and why we feel it is superior to the other options on the market. We are confident that you will understand the value of working with us. We also encourage you to obtain quotes from our competitors; we know we aren’t the cheapest and we also aren’t the most expensive…this is because our prices are fair and justified. See our doors on display and you’ll see our value. We can speak to steel gauge, insulation values and any other terms that you may hear when obtaining quotes.

This is an ever popular question we receive from customers shopping insulated garage door options. The R-Value of our doors varies from model to model and we will provide you with the information. We also pride ourselves on educating our customers and share two important points; while R-Value gets all the hype and attention U-Factor is actually what we should be looking at (the industry is moving from R-Value to U-Factor) and most importantly…a professional installation is the single most important factor when it comes to insulation. You could have the door with the highest R-Value (or lowest U-Factor), but if that door is not fit perfectly into the opening those values mean nothing and your R-Value is zero.

Yes! All of our openers are myQ enabled and are ready to work with your smart device. The myQ app allows you to control your door from anywhere! Open, close, monitor, set schedules…safety and security at your fingertip. Not to mention…peace of mind.
